During my University Degree; Bachelor of Design(Industrial Design) at the University of Technology Sydney I sub-majored in Film and Video Design. This course gave me the basic skills to produce movies and animations. With learnings in production and characer design, animation creation, storyboard and concept development and short film creation. This only confirmed a passion for this work and since this time I have created several short films for competitions and the pure love of this media!

To do this i have used a variety of programs, the Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Image ready, Illustrator and Premiere, imovie, Windows Movie Maker, Flash and now Final Cut Pro and Garage Band.

This media also allows me to express myself through acting another love I have. In the past I have done amateur theatre in Hornsby Gangshow (a scout and guide variety show) and have currently started doing some extras work in Film and TV through Black Box Management.

A day in the 80's
 
This film was created for a surf and skate film competition based on a day in the life. As in make a film on a day in someone or some sort of life. We decided to do a day in the 80's three mates going to the beach together. An extremely cheesy, stupid look at a day in the life but a good fun movie, even more fun to make.

a night at the pier
 
As an introductory lesson to making films at UTS we had to create a one minute animation of any sort. I created an animaiton using the age old technique of stop motion. Using paper and cardboard cut outs to create a story of "A Night at the Pier" with two lovers. This was based on a painting I had created previously.

us, them and the bear
 

This movie was the final project for one semester of the film and video course. Create a 2 minute film on what ever you like but it had to have a theme. We chose the theme of 'us and them' and created a movie about two rival teams trying to come up with an idea for a film. In creating this film we also had to create a production package from start to end with storyboards, cost analysis, shooting dates etc. Synopsis below

'Studio Bear is proud to present its latest work,'The Making of...Us, Them & The Bear' - tracking the turbulent process of student film-making. This film was created for a friends Drama project. Bit of fun for all involved, the film was created as a music video for a song by 'The Red Hot Chilli Peppers'. See if you can spot the tribute shot to 'Vertigo' by Alfred Hitchcock.

This was an entry into a short film competition that was about stopping drug and alcohol abuse. It is about a gentlemen who has taken his journey with drugs and alcohol too far and has lost his mind the only way out is to end his life. Very surreal and thrilling, I wrote, acted in, filmed and edited this picture including making the music for it.

This was a short production animation made for a film company that I hope to start with my brother in the near future 'Lucid Films'. The logo is based on a painting I did of an eye that has the univers with in it. Which is what lucid dreams create for the dreamer a world where you can do anything. This is what I believe Lucid Films will create in the future films that open a new world to their viewers

My brother wrote this film and with my help we produced a comedy, horror, splatter movie about a boy who is disliked by many and brings a doll to life to kill those who have betrayed him. The film was influenced by many programs such as: The Family Guy, American Dad, Southpark, Monty Python, The Simpsons, Buffy, Angel and many slapstick splatter horror movies. It was filmed and edited by my brother and I. I created the graphics and logo.

My friends and I would go to Surfers Paradise each year for a Holiday. Our crew was known as the Penno Ghetto Crew (PGC) more a fun joke than a gang. This was a music video/ film created of one of the years we travelled to the Gold Coast.

smirnoff experience entry
 
This was an entry into the ITM Smirnoff Experience competition where you had the chance to go clubbing in four amazing places all over the world. After passing the 25 words or less part you had to create a short film on why you would be best choice to win. I created this submission but alas did not win I believe the competition believed my brother and I could not create such a great film by oursleves. We used great bluescreen and Flash animation to create this crazy film.
