But Why Vagrant Art?

I chose to call my portfolio vagrant art as a long time ago my friends and I were travelling up the coast for a crazy summer week of drinking and partying and having a great old time by the sea. Now previous to this I had been known for my excessive drinking and my crazy antics and insane hair do's. I have had a shaved head, a mohawk, dread locks, long hair, long beard etc and have passed out and slept in weird places and friends houses etc.

This week was much the same drinking and partying and being stupid and insane. In the end the last night there, we partied and drank ourselves into a stupor until people were being sick etc. Because of course it was the last night of holidays and we just had to go mental. I being one to never step down from the challenge came through in flying colours getting absolutely hammered and larking about doing stupid things and passing out on the couch.

The next day we of course piled ourselves into the car, I was not feeling well at all and at our first stop to get food, vomited everywhere and ended up laying in the park next to the car on a blanket with my mohawk sagging to one side. My friends all found this very funny and were munching away on their works burgers, yelling and laughing at me curled up wishing the world would end. Suddenly my best mate who I have been friends with for many years yells out "You Dirty Vagrant!, Look at you, your such a Dirty Vagrant!" instantly I was nicknamed and all my friends haven't stopped calling me Vagrant ever since.

I chose to call this site and my portfolio vagrant art not only because I was nicknamed in that fashion and it is my work but more because I have changed my ways and know that drinking to excess is more damaging and ruining of ones life and body than it is merely a bit of fun with friends. The damage that this does is phenomenal, physically and spititually and since cutting down drinking to a wine or drink here and there not to excess, exercising more and eating right the change in your energy and what you get out of life is phenomenal! Therefore this is vagrant art for I am now a vagrant who has been more productive and more creative since he was named and no longer am I a Dirty Vagrant.
